Mining could re-start at Clogau Gold Mine after mineral firm invests in project.
Alba Mineral Resources has taken a stake in Gold Mines of Wales Limited.
Alba Mineral Resources plc announced it has taken a 49 per cent interest in Gold Mines of Wales Limited(GMOW), which owns the Clogau Gold Project situated within the Dolgellau gold belt.

The project comprises the Clogau Gold Mine - where mining ended in 1998 - and includes a large number of highly prospective gold targets and former gold workings within a total option area of 106.94 km².

Well there is a photo by Daggers so it must be true.

Given what WG trades at I'm not surprised. I wonder if the mystery buyer of those flakes last week was secretly whoever was selling the Clogau shares to "prove" how much of a premium it makes. Bit of a timing coincidence.

WTF do I know but I wouldn't like to try for planning permission to work a metal mine in SNP. I can't even put a small sign up on the A5.
