2 routes.
Upper route, from the parking area up from the mini-roundabout head away from the village along the right hand track passing some open pits, at the top of the hill, look for a ruined stone building on the right and a large gap in the fence and an obvious path which almost immediately heads down into a pit and into the mine. This is the air receiver chamber.

Lower route, From the parking area, head along the lower track, at the gate go straight on through the gate and follow the path to a small bridge over a stream. Follow this stream upstream (some bits are over wellie depth so it's best to stick to the bank) until you come to the adit.

we took the lower route. went through green gate got to the stream with the concrete pipe running under then just couldn't find anything after that. we walked the bank followed the stream but just couldn't see the entrance. maybe we'll try again in the day to get a better look.

If you mean the large concrete pipe coming out of the hill then THAT is the adit

no it was the bridge we went over had a concrete pipe underneath it and small stream. I know we were close but just could see the main pipe for the entrance.

Follow it all the way upstream. The stream runs through the mine. You literally cannot go past it without climbing up a significant bank.
Searching for the ever elusive Underground Titty Bar.
