Hi all, I'm trying to pull this thread back to what trips people want, and when they'd like them. Please have we got any more kind volunteers to help organise any of these trips?

Hi Rockchick,

I'm happy to organise the Sir Francis (+ possibly Old Gang) trip with Chris Twigg on the 17th June. Sounds like a much more comfortable time of year!

Happy to help sort out Nenthead as well although it's not really my stamping ground - sure Chris and I can sort something out between us unless there's any locals who want to take it on?

I would be happy to show people round Nent as well, but the Easter date is no good - need to do family things.

If you'd like to add Bryneglwys (suggested by Dan), I'll be willing to organise it.

I should be OK to lead Parys. Will need to rope in some others from PUG as I guess we'd have a good turnout. We normally limit 1 guide to 5 visitors since one or two places (for experienced explorers) take a bit of time to climb up/down to, eg to the wheelbarrow and could take an hour to get everyone up, 1 at a time, then down again.

Then there's the Mona - Parys through trip up to your necks in pH 2 water...

Cheers, Clive

Hi folks,
We've got very kind volunteers for most trips now with the exceptions of Coniston and CRTT (hint hint!!).

I hope I've managed to catch all the trip suggestions, I'm aware I seem to have a northern slant to these trips- can someone from the south suggest a specific place? :flowers:

Thanks all!

OK, those willing to have a bath in pH2 water (Mona-Parys through trip) Sat 23rd Sept.

I'm facilitating and will do some of the leading with a few other PUG members - number of which depends on how many coming... Will need to know final numbers by beginning of Sept to organise sufficient guides.

;D

'Twll Mawr' down for all please. If they become over subscribed then I'll give way.

Parys & Mona... Rockchick asked me about BCA Insurance.

Yes, it's a requirement of the mine owner that anyone going in carries insurance so if you're coming, please bring your green cards.

However... If you don't have such, don't worry as we'll let you become a temp PUG member which covers insurance for 17 days (come again as many times as there is a PUG member with you) during that time for a tenner. We'll even let you upgrade to full membership and therefore BCA insurance, for a year for an extra Β£11. ;D

Re: Bryneglwys

As I volunteered to lead this one, I'd better think about making some arrangements.

25th Feb was suggested but that's a bit close to the Williamson's tunnels trip that I want to do, so can I have some votes for March 4, 5, 18 or 19?
Any preference?
