Just wondering if there is any plan for this Thursday. I know a few of our usuals are away at a festival and a couple are currently occupied with other matters beyond their control.

I am about, so if anyone has an idea of any sort wether it be a bimble about, a photo session, an evening of planning or we skip a night, im not fussed. However i do have to be up early on the friday as im away friday night untill Sunday.

So whatever you have, fire away!

Don't think I can escape again this week :(:(:thumbdown: , usual sbrog problems plus a few more, never bloody ends, grrr. But, barring any death in the family, which could be any day, I WILL be out next week...so somewhere close to home, ideally close to a bus route would be good ;D;D Thanks in advance...

I think I may have to make a late decision this week; my dad and his wife leave on Thursday morning so they are out of the equation on the Thursday night, but the next guests are lining up and might arrive on Thursday. They come sailing though, so they have a less precise ETA.

Struggling to come up with anything in your neck of the woods Llion, sorry. Any suggestions?

For something more obscure, there are a couple of small lead mines near Penrhyndeudraeth that we haven't looked in yet:

Photos by Teigl in both; not sure how extensive either is; or how easy to find...

I'll be at cwmorthin all day and will probably go do a bit more work in the LW in the evening. Gonna try and get a bit more done every week.

Whichever look good
If I recal, Margot and I chased up Hafod Boeth last time we went to C&J? Two levels with a nice hat in one and at least one internal stope needing to be crawled up/down. Blober mentioned a third, higher level, unnoticed? Cae Fali looks juicy too... and worthwhile in conjunction with HyB? Mochdre mine, Cineworld & KFC back to back... Yea! What's on?... If I manage to turn up to any that is!

HoHum... Edwyn:)

Cae Fali isn't really worth the effort; it's tiny, and Teigl's photos show pretty much all there is to see. I didn't find it easy to reach when I visited in 2008, but there has been a lot of forestry clearance since then which has probably improved access.

The only redeeming feature of Cae Fali is that you get to go under the railway. Hafod Boeth much more interesting.

Looks like there's so few of the regulars around that we may as well cry off for this week. Unless you need 1 or 2 bods to lend a hand in the LW Miles?

OK! I'll use the night to recover from the visit. What shall we do next week? And I walked past Cwm Bychan copper mine with said visitors; is that worth visiting from the inside?
