Hi Miles,
It's a democracy so we mill about like headless chickens until one of us takes the initiative. We had thought about continuing with the LW this week and were going to contact you about it. I s that what you had in mind? :thumbsup:

Hmmm, I've heard a whisper from an A1 source in PUG tonight that you're into 'high expansion cracking' of rocks Miles. My source witnessed the 'trials'...

Sounds like some fun pushing for new ground in the LW with your new found skill. Look forward to hearing all about it.

Only another 5-6 weeks of paid employment then I should have some free time to undertake a few more forrays on Thursday nights. 😉

Thanks, yes I'm getting on really well in the boulder/gravel conversions thanks to most excellent support and tuition, though this evening isn't anything to do with it specifically (or LW).

yeah, always fun and always over too quick.

funny how the memory plays tricks with that block, I thought it was easy progress but no. Still, it can be pushed if the way up to it can be made a bit less offensive.

I didn't have time to put them to use, but like the look of the rigging a lot. It'll be a big improvement running down the centre like that. Depending how things pan out, some of us will hopefully push on there this coming Thursday.

Ahhh, great.

Well, they are work in progress, I'll keep going with them and make them all nice. Just got some new rock-screws in.

On the main climb, near the top, if you look to the left chamber wall there is some graffiti which looks very old. Just a set of initials I think, maybe the rockman who worked that face. Or it could be more modern but it's placement makes it unlikely as there is little need to be up in that top chamber corner unless you're actually working the rock.

Interesting to see though, worth a look.

Hmmm, not noticed them, will take a look next week. Is it just the one set? As you say, no point being in that corner unless you're working there... I didn't do the little traverse, just went up the 7 or 8 steps.
