Return of the good old trip report (or not!)

I have just uploaded my write up of my recent exploration of the Cwm/Oakeley "lost World"

Please can anyone let me know if I have guessed the correct position of the fault, as I'm very curious to know if i've got the right idea about this or not. Also confused about which vein the small isolated area of chambers with the iron formations and little white crystals is actually in?

Saw falls in three seperate places, all blocking levels heading out east. Could be potentialy very exciting if a way was evetually found around or through these. The survey indicates extensive areas of workings beyond. But the're thought to be mostly collapsed now.....but you never know!:)

Great trip report Siriol, it puts the lost world into context with the rest of the mine. I will have to go & have a look down there soon:thumbsup:

Many thanks for the comments.

I personally like trip reports, and wish I could see more, as they seem to have dried up recently for some reason. its a nice way to clarify and keep information for future reference, and add to /improve on later.

I remember some on "Mine Explorer" which I don't think are on here.

As for context, Haven't quite worked out the lost world's position in relation to the old vein. but have a rough idea.

Yes I hope that Miles can find time one day to make them available again.
But good luck to him for being busy at work, that and his family takes precedence.

Fantastic report! I have not been to the lost world since around 2008/09.

Great to see the artifacts are still in position when I was last down there. I did have a poke around a few weeks back but didnt have much sucess as I was in a bit of a rush.

Pretty Sure it was Speedy yes, I couldnt remember if it was one of the times I was there also with Corin when we would spend hours pushing new ground. We certainly pushed stuff in the lost world tho.

Understand the beginnings of a level thought to be heading towards the old vein was found at the top of that slab in the last chamber. Nothing marked on the original survey however, although that doesn't really surprise me.
