A couple of weeks ago I acquired the following items from ebay which may be of interest: -

A SUPPLEMENT OF THE WREXHAM LEADER SHOWING THE EDITIONS OF 28 SEPTEMBER & 5 OCTOBER 1934

THREE SPECIAL IN MEMORIAM SUPPLEMENTS WITH PHOTOS OF THE MEN WHO LOST THEIR LIVES

A POEM CALLED "THE MEN OF GRESFORD"

A MESSAGE FROM THE KING AND QUEEN

Just out of interest I was wondering if anyone here knows how scarce or otherwise these items are or have seen them offered for sale before. I am guessing they are quite rare, as only a few people may have kept and preserved copies. but have no former experience in acquiring original newspapers, so am a bit in the dark on this point
Sadly I don’t think I can scan them however as they are too delicate.
The supplement provides much rare detail regarding the events following the disaster with valuable eye-witness accounts from the rescuers, much of which I haven’t seen published in more recent times. The text is extensive and informative.

'I wonder how many breakfasts, and other meals we have missed inside that nasty clockless, timeless hole?'

'The Hobbit'

If you take them to one of the open days at Bersham, or contact Margaret the Secretary.
They may offer more information.

Will check the local record office they might have them. Although my Great grandfather worked at Gresford at the time I doubt he kept any copies. Even if he had I do not know if we would still have them.

If you can't scan them can you photograph them?

Reading the first post again
It sounds like those are commemorative reprints.

Can you let us know if they are reprints or original.

Fairly certain they are original, as wear seems consistent with their age?
