Just looking at cross sections of the mine, which shaft do we enter & where is it flooded to?

There's mention on the site Mr Eckaslyke pointed to, of a through trip... mile long! Are we doing that? If so does at least one of us know the way back top side?:o

I am 99.9% sure the other shaft (New Shaft from memory) needs to be rigged beforehand. I am sure that IanA or other UCET type person would be able to confirm. I've not been past the flooded Stemples myself.

If Mr "Nope, not liking the look of that" here can get to the bottom without mishap, it can't be *that* hard.

Cowstails a must for 'fraidy cats like me though!

Its not so much the technique of going down ladders... but the Drudgery of coming back up! Like climbing Tx masts without the view (don't ask).:o

I appear to have picked up a nasty cold. Not sure it's the smartest idea to be heading down there with wobbly legs, stuffy head etc, so I won't be attending.

I already have a cold too so don't worry about passing it on mate. Still a lift there if you want. You'll be fighting fit again tomorrow!

Could just bring my cowstails if only a spare harness is available!

Sorry mate, pack the car last night and left early this morning so didn't see your message. Anyone else help out? Cowtails are not essential here, just for comfort.... 😉
