Ok folks its the last full "Thursday Nighters" trip of 2014, as next week, the 18th, is the "Parti 'Dolig Fawr". Yaaaay! ;D
So this week I thought that we would go out in style with a trip to Stwlan slate mine, also known as Moelwyn stale mine (I'm never too sure which is which, they are known locally as both. Can anyone shed any light on that one? :flowers:. )
Anyhow, its here:
http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=52.979349&lon=-3.995259&z=17.5&r=0&src=msa Its a fair old hike up, but its a go-er come rain or snow so bring wet gear for the walk. I'm hoping for a braw bricht moonlicht nicht as it is a cracking walk up under the stars, but the forecast is marginal so be prepared.
Meet up here:

Its a
very odd mine which we never really fathomed out last time we were there. Imagine a slate mine that had been worked like a metal mine...... Some large chambers there and some SRT too if I recall. I had a mishap last time I was there and ended up on blocks for a couple weeks with a mashed ankle so the details are a little vague! Bring SRT kit, you never know! I'll bring the drill as there are definitely some pitches that could be bolted if we felt so inclined.
'Avin it? See you all there. All welcome :flowers:
