The thread currently running on the Point of Ayr Colliery headgear reminded me that a similarly truncated portion of the Gresford Colliery headgear sat alongside the A525 at NGR SJ 258 534 (between Bwlchgwyn and the B5430 junction) some 25 years ago: what happened to it? Did it return to Gresford?

Those are the "Martin pit" headgear and wheels.
They are owned by Wrexham Councill and are stored in the yard at Bersham colliery.
