What is the current state of play with fixed aids etc on the CRTT?

The best approach is to take enough gear to rig it yourself, don't rely on the in-situ ropes etc. It has become a very popular trip and as a result some of the equipment gets damaged frequently.

I think a group from UCET did it quite recently (last weekend). Might be worth dropping IanA a PM to ask (Ian wasn't on the trip as far as I know, but he might know the state of play).
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

What happened to the CRTT? For a prolonged period it was more ubiquitous than even Cwmorthin on the forums, now it goes virtually without mention.

It lost it's sex appeal after our "Novelty Inflatables" trip! If we can do it on inflatable crocodiles, spaceships and a lilo its hardly a "Badge of Honour" trip anymore. Bubble burst etc

Maybe the perfect time for all the Tree Top Adventure stuff to be stripped out?

Would make a cracking trip if you had to do it all yourself! Or maybe I'll just fetch me coat... ::)

Judging by a recent video, current thrills involve cramming as many people as you can into the canoe (is 4 a record?) and testing the strength of the suspension bridge by crossing it in force while leaping about and dodging thrown rocks.

At NAMHO 2012 we had six in the canoe on the Hough Level under the skilled captainship of Mr Fellows.
