Contrary to anything I might have written or said previously, it seems certain now that Gallt-y-Llan was the site of the Llanberis Slate Company Limited's use of a Hunter Tunneller in January 1868 as reported in the Mining Journal. It does not seem to have attracted much photographic attention or visitation by explorers - does anyone have any more information on it?

The map is the territory - especially in chain scale.

We visited Gallt-Y-Llan on 9th March 2008. Notes indicate nothing underground at all, but some bits of machinery lying around on the tips.
JonK will have some photos.
Chris.
