Hello caver85

Any specific type of mine you're looking for? Metal, slate? Walkabout / SRT?

We have quite a few to choose from 😉

Anything to be fair mate..a mixture would probly be best and its usually slate so metal would be different for a change...what would you recommend for me mate? ?

Depending where you're coming up from but Moel Fferna if coming up the A5 or Hendre Spar if via the A55. Those are both regulars so you may well have been there.

Around Blaenau... Rhosydd East is a good trip. Conglog is worth an hour so. Diffwys and Cwt y Bugail well worth visiting, and it looks a good weekend for walking the Rhiwbach tramway on the way to various places.

Metal... Two already mentioned, Bwlch y Plwm nice little top to bottom through trip. Pant y Wrach more of an explore with a couple of pitches. Drws y Coed near Nantlle. Plenty of options 😉

Most of the area near Betws Y Coed is forestry land and (at the moment) there is no access to the many mines. :smartass:
You could visit Cae Coch sulpher mine but watch out for the acidic pools. 😮

I have a few suggestions but don't have the time to type it all up! I have sent you a PM with my cell phone number. Give me a call and I can make a few suggestions. You are never far from a hole in the ground in this part of the world. I'm only up the road from you, but I'm tied up all weekend sorry. How long are you around for? We are out every Thursday night

I have noticed that for the last few days the site has been completly gone.
Only this message which looks like server issues.

Caving Gear was having similar problems but now appears to be back on line.
In all fairness to an extremely buisy and good man, I think Miles should make a statement on the situation.

Maybe we need a website along the lines of this to say whether ME is up or not?
