Out of interest, I was wondering if anyone has been behind the floor F dam in Oakeley.
The plan I've seen shows the dam but not what's actually behind it. I think there is a chamber. but I have no other information.

Floor F dam ????? Which plan and in what area (i.e. roughly what chamber number?) Although it's very unlikely I've been there, I could probably say what's behind it!

Cheers

The dam is up a little detour off the main drag on floor F going in the Oakeley direction from chamber 31 ("batcave")

Seems to be in vicinity of chamber 29, but chamber behind it not shown on plan. Don't think anyone cam get behind it to see what exactly is there.

So it's roughly in the Cwmorthin/Oakeley boundary area.

The plan is the colour coded Cwmorthin & Oakeley mine layout in the documents section under "Cwmorthin" on this site.

OK - I'll have a virtual "dig" in the full scale plans. I'll be back ! 🙂

Will be very interested to see original plans which show this area in greater detail, if at all possible 🙂
