Howdy

I'm doing my LCMLA1 at the moment and just looking for reccomendations of mines to visit, which would provide particularly good experience for the LCML Awards or are just really worth a vist.

Reason i ask is obviously there are a LOT of workings in this area (i'm based in Llanberis), but not all are worth a visit, so which ones are?? which mines make the top of the list??

I'm not aversed to a bit of SRT.

So far i have logged: Wrysgan, Rhiwbach, Rhosydd, Cwmorthin (blue routes and 'round trip'), Penarth, Moel Fferna and Cambrian, Drws-y-coed and Talysarn, and Poachers cave.

Cheers. Dave.

You need some lead in there and maybe some spar so get yourself further afield to Hendre Spar mine and maybe Belgrave Lead mine both near Mold, If you need any further information or help Just contact me Here on Aditnow or Darkplaces. I'm LCMLA Level 2.

Minera lead mine - via Cabin Shaft is a really good explore.

You could spend days down there as its a real rabbit warren on many different levels so you need to pay attention to your surroundings so you don't get lost.

We had a 4 hour trip last weekend and I found lots of new places I had never been to before and even though we split into several groups there was still a massive number of unexplored sections.

There is a simple plan of the veins and shafts at:
