Couple of questions...

Do I need SRT?

How wet is it? (Other than the proposed swim) Just thinking about what to pack my camera stuff in

😉

SRT? No....not unless there is something there that I don't know about?

How wet? If you go down the "haunted" tunnel then it BECOMES wet but you can see most of the tunnel without going over wellies.
Likewise the rest of the mine is welly-friendly

:offtopic:

but is it only my computer that ALWAYS auto-corrects "wellies" to read "willies"??! 😮
It happens every time....its only a matter of time before I PM someone on the subject of appropriate footwear for a trip and end up on some kind of register.....

Unless, of course, you go to the other underground workings in the north Twll that are not welly-friendly in parts. 🙂

Err that suggests that your use of "willies" has become so regular that it's not only in the pc's memory but also that it's more likely that you mean willies rather than wellies.
I make no comment. Just sayin' 😉

Hi Ben

Yes agree that a few trip reports would make interesting reading for folk who can't make it.....but time seems to just run out and other things in life take priority.....likewise with photography! Taking photos is all well and good but no time to process and upload them :curse:
You could always pop over on a Thursday night one week....and then write a report
Actually there may well be "something to report" after next week's trip....which is a return visit to Cwt y Bugail.
Pack a wetsuit and stay tuned for details ;)

agreed, writing trip reports is a time taker 😉
thanks for the invite although popping over means a 240 mile round trip :curse: saying this though i do endeavour to make it one week. will keep an eye peeled for a trip thats grabs me. Maybe Hendre ???? would also love to go into the controversial in Mould ????

A walk in the park
This week would be worth it

Hendre is worth a look but we did it a few weeks back. However there is an SRT pitch there that we fancy.....join us for that? New Year I would guess

Sinker was referring to the area of the mine we were planning to visit 😉 Yes, the levels off the north Twll are pretty damp; and if memory serves there's a hole to catch the unwary?
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by
