Running late this week, sorry! :flowers:

This week's trip (trek...) is to Moelwyn Slate Mine.
Its an interesting (dangerous....! :devil: ) mine, bigger than most people imagine and with plenty to see...depending on access, which I believe is better these days than it has been in the past. Guess we'll find out on Thursday! :lol:

Meet at the usual time, 1800 ish, here:

and bring your walking boots! Actually the walk up is not as bad as most people think....and after all, the last time we trekked up there we were in 4' snow drifts. 😮 I've checked the forecast....brilliant sunshine....so it will be a pleasant walk with a bit of adventure thrown in. 😉

I'm doing some instructing work this week so I'm not getting back until later than normal. If I can make it I will be cutting it fine so I may have to catch you up on the walk up.

Hi Chrisj, I'll be 1815 ish as per bloody usual so don't worry about being a little late. Plenty of scope to catch us up on the trek up :thumbup:

Is there room for one more on this trip. I can cope with going down (and, if necessary, going up) a rope but Llion can tell you that it's best to keep me away from boating trips!

It would be rude not to come along since the weather is so nice today!
Anyone been up there before? Is it worth carrying camera gear up there?
