Up to 10 new jobs could be created under plans to resume operations at a former sand and gravel quarry.Gwynedd Council planners have recommended the proposal to resume quarrying a 14 hectare site at Llecheiddior Uchaf, near Garndolbenmaen, is accepted.Quarrying was stopped at the site in 1979, but according to the applicants, the rate of extraction would amount to 600,000 tonnes of sand and gravel over a period of 12 years.The extracted material would be directly loaded and transported 700m to the former Bryncir Quarry to be washed and processed.
