Has anybody been down to the bottom of the stope or down the shaft at the top?.

This stope?

It's on my list of possible Thursday night venues - but no idea of the extent of anything down there.

If memory serves you might be able to crawl in through a small adit almost vertically below the stope - although it looked very tight.

No not that stope, through the crawl then it opens up see my pictures,at the end is a stope down to your right ,up to your left is your stope to daylight, there is a shaft further round and up the mountain it has a grill on it but you can still get through, someone told me it may connect with sygun.

The shaft I think is shown on plans at NLW (see David Bick's book) just connected with the Llwyndu workings by a crosscut. I seem to recall water levels in both drop considerably in dry weather. Havn't been there for 20 years though.

This definitely sounds like one we should check out on the Thursday night sessions. Thanks for the info Dave and Alasdair.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
