I seem to recall there being something in Betws y Coed near the railway station?

Happy crawling!

There's the railway carriage in Betws (over the hump back bridge by the garden centre as you come in to Betws from the Llanwrst end) - big portions!

The one Skimble suggests does a damn good breakfast though adn a good choice of teas and coffees - as long as you don't mind a bit of olive oil drizzled onto your fried eggs 😉

my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

Last time I asked for a bit of Olive Oil dribbled on my eggs, Popeye hit me.
Been injured while at work and are not to blame?

Get over it.

There's a really nice cafe at the other end of Betws. Between Field and Trek and the bridge but on the opposite side of the road. I seem to remember a new Rohan shop has just opened right near it.
They do a cracking breakfast but I'm not sure what time they open.
It's a bit of a hippy place with fruit and veg hand painted on the tables and loads of atmosphere. We always make a bee line for there whenever we're in Betws.

I know it's not particularly near Llanwrwst but the Bridge Cafe in Blaenau Ffestiniog needs further recognition.

It seems a regular kind of cafe on the surface but go downstairs and it turns into a shrine of caving (ok I know caving isn't mining but let's not split hairs....).

There is an informative display on the history of caving, interactive computer thingies and even speaking caver models. Pride of place is a proper cave experience with stalactites and passages and a properly engineered squeeze box for the really keen.

Gaile the owner deserves the OBE equivalent in the caving world for services to the underground - and she told me she had never been underground in her life!

Oh and she does Olympic Breakfasts!
