I have been asked by a couple of friends who are free miners in the forest of dean to see if I can get hold of connecting drills. Due to the possibility of water inrushes they have been told by HSE and mines inspectorate that they need to advance bore 7m (either in coal or soft rock). They believe they can achieve this using either standard coal drill or rock drills. Don't suppose anyone knows of anyone who would still have these lying around?

there are some companies down here who still get involved with manual drilling they may have extension/connecting steels, if not they will know where to get them, the best bet is probably Drillserve

They've already got back to me so I've passed the email onto the boys in the FOD.
