http://www.aditnow.co.uk/mines/Bwlch-y-Plwm-Lead-Mine/  which shows the designated "bat sanctuaries" in the mine. According to Dena the areas coloured on the survey should not be visited from November to April (none of these areas are on the the main route through the mine).

Apparently the Llanfrothen lesser horseshoe hibernacular are amongst the most important in Britain with ByP being only one of the sites in that area. Accordingly, Dena suggests that people restrict their explorations in this general area to the summer months only.
