A planning application (C10M/0103/03/MW) has been made by Welsh Slate Ltd to Gwynedd County Council for the ‘Regularisation of and future recovery of material from a mineral working deposit’. The proposal includes the recovery of slate waste from the Bryntirion and Ffridd Slate waste tips for processing to slate powder products. It is stated that no sites of archaeological interest are affected. Details of the application and copies of its supporting papers and plans are available from the Planning section of the Gwynedd CC website http://www.gwynedd.gov.uk/ .

Interesting - as are the map extracts and the previous history in the documents.

The map is the territory - especially in chain scale.
