Thanks christwigg for posting the Mining in Europe extract. Althgough I'd downloaded it from the Open Library I hadn't spotted that it had a description of Oakeley in it!

Even more interesting is this photo in the extract, of the Water Balance incline, the G Trwnc, lifting from G floor up to DE. It is a shame that the original scanning seems optimised for text and diagrams, but struggles with the photographic illustrations at times.

The drumhouse in the background is the F Trwnc -also known as y Trwnc Ddu - which lifted from F floor up to DE.

There seem to be plenty of companies offering "on demand" printing of the book, but whether the photos will be any better or you just get the same as whats online is anyones guess.
