Has anyone read, or know anything about, these books by Emir Jones?

Bargen Dinorwig, [Llandysul] : Gwasg Gee, 1964, 163 p., [24] leaves of plates : ill. map

Canrif y Chwarelwr, [Caernarfon] : Ty ar y Graig, 1980. 151 p., [8] p. of plates.

There is also a 35 minute Radio Cymru sound recording Canrif y Chwarelwr - described as "Atgofion Gruffydd R Williams, Llithfaen, sy'n 102 oed." (Recollections of Gryffydd R Williams, Llithfean, who is 102 years old.) from 2nd June 1990.

(Information from National Library Wales)

Might be an error in publishers name/location in the first reference: Gee was at Wrexham; Gomer was (and still is) at Llandysul.

Yep, well spotted, I did get it wrong - I managed to swap the details for the two titles. (Copy and paste errors I think.)

Corrected info (as far as I can make out after checking with the British Library catalogue) for the two books is:

Bargen Dinorwig, [Caernarfon] : Ty ar y Graig, 1980. 151 p., [8] p. of plates

Canrif y Chwarelwr, [Denbigh] : Gwasg Gee, 1964. 163 p., [24] leaves of plates : ill. map.

But - National Library Wales catalogue definitely says "[Llandysul] : Gwasg Gee" - which does look like a error.

A simple error - imagine working at NLW inputting Welsh publishers' books endlessly - easy to click on the wrong sub-routine and place Gee in Llandysul!

Besides being aware of the existence of 'Bargen Dinorwig', I'm afraid I can't help. If you're not in NW Wales and can't access a branch of Gwynedd Libraries, then they must be reasonably readily available secondhand? Possibly for little more than the cost of an inter-library loan. Try booksellers such as Siop Lyfrau'r Hen Bost in Blaenau Ffestiniog, or Siop y Morfa in Rhyl. More expensive but with good stock, in Castle Bookshop, Llandyssil (they are all online). I don't think Moorebooks carries much Welsh language material - but if I'm wrong I'm sure Mike will post here to correct me.

I have 'Canrif y Chwarelwr' by Emyr Jones. Quite an interesting book. I have not read it all, but have browsed thru it a few times.
Also 'Wagenad o Straeon' by O.R.Williams (approx 1969).
Bellach dim ond swn y gwynt yn chwibian, lle bu gynt yr engan ar cynion yn tincian.
