We where in RG at the beginning of the month and noticed a couple of things which had been disturbed.

First, the sump into the 4 fathome limestone (inbye, this is the large sump on your left, that looks like a death trap, and it has the short drive round the side of it that has the large kibble in it), just past the sump there is a large fall - been there forever, but it looked like someone on the far side of the fall had been ratching and pulled out a lot of deads, spill went into the crawl space.

Second, the last NORPEX dig (the one just before the Hardshin's Vein junction), again someone had a go a trying to dig the hopper - it did not need this and as a result material has come down in the crawl space and the spillings have come loose resulting in the steel frame loosing tension and it all wobbles now.

Does anyone know anything about this or who did it?

Also not guilty, not been up there for quite a while. Only people I know who've been that way on wouldn't be doing this sort of thing...

Presumably it is definitely someone ratching about and not stuff falling?

Will have a look in the not too distant future.
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

The dig has had stuff pulled out definitely, as for the fall it does not look natural in the way the debris has fallen.

We have not been up on the Hardshins's cross cut since last May when our friend had to helped out of the mine, and my own health problems have acted as a deterrent more recently!
However I have made the point previously and I am now restating it,the area immediately in front of the gate and adjacent to rise to Boundary Cross vein is extremely dangerous. The main problem is the condition of the arching in this section.
The dig that Mike refers to is adjacent to this section, and I can only suggest that extreme care is taken in this area of the mine and if you are going through it then someone else, should be told where you are hoping to explore.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
