This old mine site is on PRIVATE property, and is very dangerous due to open gunnises and pits strewn around the site still open. There is no underground workings accessible.

Its got some well preserved 16th century open workings and those deep crevices as well. Best to go in the winter time!.

Oh it's Ausewell Wood. Significant copper producer in the 1720s if memory serves (not that I am that old you understand) - visted by Henric Kalmeter 1724 /25.
