I believe that the end of the stope near the brick lined adit and collapse are radioactive.
I was told by a local chap at a DTRG meet that the uranium ore was apple green? Would this be of similar type to the green jim lode further west?
Most pics ive seen and the nodules at Littleham bay are black.
I understand there are different types of mineralisation.
Info on Kingswood adit nr Buckfastleigh would be interesting too!

Where is green jim lode?

Its not that bad, go down S. Terras if yo want real radiation....

It mentions the Green Jim lode at South Terras. Which it says is Torbernite.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Pitcheblende was mined at Gunnislake, so still wondering in what form??
I will search for the docs about the shaft, thanks.
I read an article somewhere on Gunnislake , ref the water table and stability etc. Interesting stuff, think it might have been for the council or suchlike.
