Over at Milltown near ashover and walking up the steep footpath to the right hand side of the quarry there is a rather large fissure is it a old Adit and if so is it worth roping down to it ? can you get inside

If it's the one you cross on a bridge then it's a worked-out stope, I forget the name of the vein offhand.

yep there is a wooden footpath bridge crossing over it just befor you get to the quarry

On checking PDMHS Bulletin 16.3, John Barnatt identified the main one as being Blackwell Rake (or possibly Mill Rake) with Spencers Rake joining it. There is some underground stuff accessible but not particularly extensive. IIRC Gregory Vein is further to the north, towards Overton Hall.
