Don't want to blow my own trumpet :smartass: however I have just spoken to my source at Cormac, and lo the wheel was taken for the roundabout job and supposedly those at KEM knew about it too.

At least the important news is it hasn't gone for scrap (I was going to say taken by 22/7 keys).

Wait till I speak with Kevin :o

This is good news. I almost got tied up in some stereotyping bigotry there 😃

No "almost" about it - caught like a rabbit in the headlights, I'd say. Lessons learned all round!

UPDATE : -

According to another source at Cormac, the wheel was taken by Hewas Engineering (hence the blue and white truck), and has been stripped, primed and ready for its new top coat. The wheel is planned to go on a roundabout at the Camborne end of Dolcoath Road / Avenue.

PS - No more bad humour (promise ;D)

- I guess there is no such thing as bad publicity?

Shame if it is going, it was one the few things the kids could safely play on. But if it is needed as a lightening conductor for the roundabout on the new rat run....
Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

As I can be of no further enlightenment on this story, now that the both the West Briton and Western Morning News have printed the story with is happy ending, there is nothing else for me to add except :

All's wheel that ends wheel :surrender:
