Yes - I was in there about 3 months ago. It was, as all Furness Mines must be, a complete sh****le but oh so interesting.
Then, the way through to the Derby workings was open and I suspect, with this recent rain it has closed up again.
But get down there and look for yourself. The 90' entrance shaft has a perfect hang off the overhanging tree.
The skulls at the bottom are from the nearby abattoir, when it was used as a dump for offal.
