Was up at Cwmorthin yesterday and found the lock has been smashed. The case is in two halves

The trolley that is used by FOC is next to the adit gate? Was it moved with good reason or was it the same t***s that smashed the lock ...and why?

I was up there the weekend before and I couldn't even get the combi lock to lock.

so I closed it as best I could and turned the chain round so the yellow key padlock was showing.

One word, "Pondscum".

It happens 2 or 3 times a year.
A new lock has been ordered. Its just an inconvenience really, as much to the 99% of people who bother to get the combination as anybody else.

Thats a good idea ,where will you erect it to catch the Chavs in action???
However the do-gooders will require a sign tobe put up saying you are on CCTV.javascript:emoticon(':oops:')

How do You plan on powering it? Even a Manusl SLR with Prime lens and Fixed Focus will need to be wound on, and something powered to trigger the shutter.

You can get "Trail Cameras" that would work nicely for this, but batteries changed and the contents of the card checked regularly, and the resolution isn't great.
