pressure for calculation times? Ron Hooper would approve. 🙂 One thing I learnt, from having actually done surveying using hand booking, is that getting your booking format right is half the battle, and accurate repetitions are most of the rest of it.

I think fun was had today, sun shining, nice cool breeze and plenty to see and do, poor lads doing the hand mucking probably inhaled more muck than they filled the wagons with

One poor fellow in the Dutch team was having shovel loads thrown directly in his face - the guy shovelling never did realise he was filling his mates shirt as opposed to the wagon!

The "muck" looked like waste sand from Imerys - wouldn't it normally be damp ? But then not so much fun ! Anyone know who won ?

It would normally be lumps of rock varying from fist size to "Rockery" stone size - an entirely different prospect!
