Those of you based in Cornwall might be interested in filling in this survey from the University of Exeter about perceptions of mining in Cornwall.

I didn't feel I had any input in that, my perspective being more a case of 'the impact of Cornwall on a mining professional', but I'd be curious to know what conclusions they draw.

I would comment that I was in Cornwall in December last, visiting old friends in Stithians among other things, and was most interested in the perceptions of his ( early-20s ) sons on the subject; quite different from when I was there regularly and quite a few families had direct experience of the industry and it was visible day-to-day.

Yes When I mention I work for Imerys (outside Clay district) , a majority of young people ask what they do, older people look blank until I say "ECC" or "ECLP".
Same as people outside Camborne area are often surprised to hear South Crofty is actually still going albeit in a start up / exploration phase.
