have recently come across this site while looking at engine houses in my area( praa sands) been excited to come across pictures of mines in my area, have plenty of books but none of those beat this place for research, engine houses are my main topic of interest, does anyone know when levant, east pool etc are open to the public for a look?

As a general rule, many Mining attractions are closed on Saturdays (there are exceptions). Is it something to do with knockers (mythical creatures heard in Cornish mines) reputedly being the spirits of ancient Jewish miners, not working on the sabbath ??

Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?
