I have just deleted this quarry which has just been added - it is already there as Chaldon Quarries.

Er, no, but good idea. These are cavers names for sites that historically were probably only ever known as Merstham and Chaldon quarries.

I did check on the DB when I entered them so when nothing came up added them.

I have tried to be slightly vague with some Surrey sites so as to respect sensitivities of owners etc. A generic name like Merstham, Chaldon, Godstone allows interesting historical info and photos to be added for general interest without infringing requests for low level publicity for one or two specific locations. Hence at Godstone, three sites, all of which were historically just "Godstone Quarries" are listed as that in a single entry.
