Hello every1

I have recently talked with the Malvern Hills Conservators and they have told me they keep no records of shafts or portals on the Malvern hills (I don't really believe em), despite one being discovered in 2008 and rumoured about on here. If anyone from the area could shed some light on what has happened to it, or know of any other cool places to explore in the area please help a noob out :)

Thanks,
- Alex

There was a trial shaft 'gold mine' North of Wyche Cutting, in the 1600s, they found what the locals called gold dust - but it is simply mica flakes. A little further West in woods from the gold mine is a run in well which may have been another attempt to find gold.
There is gold in the red granite of Malvern, but only in trace amounts.
The only other hole in the Malverns is Clutters Cave on Herefordshire Beacon, a hole that used to have a hermit living in it.

Another comment, The Malvern Hills Conservators are no more. They have become, in 2017, after much advice and expenditure from various consultants - The Malvern Hills Trust, thus ending 135 years of looking after the interests of the Malvern Hills to take a few extra quid of charity money.
