Covid-19 can't stop the DCA from publishing - despite the lack of serious underground work going on, we've managed to put a summer edition of The Derbyshire Caver together - hope you enjoy it:

Thanks. A most enjoyable and eclectic mix, with plenty to whet the appetite once Matron lets us out.

We do what we can under the circumstances.

Hopefully one day we can find a venue and open a 'Museum of Longcliffe Detritus' to exhibit all our marvellous finds. I have individual photos of every item too (not by me I should add!), but there are limits to the level of detail I'm prepare to add to that particular project right now, so I can't face uploading them all. Suffice to say the whole lot wouldn't fetch a fiver at a car boot sale. Though it could occupy some bearded men in several weeks of intricate study.

I did finally remember to upload a photo of the leather belt, which is still here in a 'damp environment'. It makes a nice change from finding a single boot, and the image of a miner hopping home on one leg has been much improved by the thought of his trousers constantly falling down as well

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
