I am racking my brains guys to remember a mine we visited either in Cumbria or North Wales where after a bit of a walk underground you had to wiggle through a green wheelie bin to get to another chamber and level, can somebody put me out of my misery 😢

there is a wheelie bin in a stope - in one of the coniston copper mines - now certain which though

my best guess = taylors or flemmings level

but i shall interogate my ninion - hes the brains of the outfit

edited - certain its flemmings - its got a craved wood lintel @ atdit mouth

There’s one in Taylor’s Level, Coniston, I believe.
It’s supporting a dig, you crawl vertically up it through a cut-out bottom.

Yeah, it is brown (I had to check a picture.).
Splitting hairs really though. It fits the bill. There can’t be that many mines with vertically placed wheelie bins supporting digs!
