I attended a consolidation ceremony at Treak Cliff in April, whereupon the Old Miller, New Knab and Trake Nab Veins were all brought into the Treak Cliff title. Jim Rieuwerts as Foreman of the Low Peak Grand Jury was appointed by the Barmaster to come up with a scheme to incorporate the workings under the Barmote Laws - a freeing dish of ore was also produced (shown below being held by John Turner).
It was nice to see the old customs and laws being invoked (and modified), and a fuller description was written up by Dr. Rieuwerts in the latest PDMHS Newsletter.

After the ceremony we went round the cavern, and John showed us a piece of the 'new' Blue John he'd found, and very pretty it was too. I have no idea of the ultimate value of the discovery, but it's great to see the last remaining mine still finding new mineral!
Incidentally, there doesn't seem to be an entry for Treak Cliff in the database, so I've added them to my Personal Album for now, but if someone more knowledgable than I on the history wants to make an entry, I'll happily add them to that.
