Do any of you good people have surveys of area past the bottom of kings shaft? Thanks for interest,

I thought that area was included in the Flindall & Hayes survey from Bulletin 8:2?

I've got marking exactly where the quarry face is on that survey on my to-do list, but that's probably a summer evening job when I can see the remains of Beck shaft in the face....

I have not got round to updating our Masson survey to include the present line of the quarry face. In recent months, I have been using my bus pass to trundle over to the Matlock area to check out the range of veins and mining titles as indicated by the latest historical research but have been working mainly in the Scarthin – Wapping area.

When the summer comes, it will be more practical for making the long plod up Masson.
