Good news, the mining museum is a favourite place of mine.

When young T was even younger it was always a required visit after an underground trip, apparently the "mine" in the museum is far more scary than real old mineworkings ::)

Not too scary - it's warm, dry and no falling bits. Much better than a real mine as there's coffee & biscuits and a souvenir shop. The staff and volunteers are quite friendly too!

An excellent visit, went there today and enjoyed the trip, wormed my way through the climbing shafts.
if eight out of ten cats all prefer Whiskas
Do the other two prefer Lesley Judd ?

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
