If anyone here happened to 'lose' 13 freshly used Duracell batteries**, a bag of Hula Hoops and the foil wrapper for their Cheese & Tomato sandwhiches (on white) up around Road 12 in Church at the weekend I have them in a safe place for you.....a tall black thing at the side of my house with wheels on..... :guns:

(**actually the batteries have been recycled properly)

I would hope everyone on here already knows better than to leave litter in any mine.

But unfortunately rarely a trip goes by when I don't retrieve a mars bar wrapper or water bottle from somewhere.

How about this? Found this edifying sight yesterday at Cefn Clawydd slate mine.

What annoyed me was that there was a trail of agricultural weedkiller containers leading up to the pit.
Perhaps the farmer has permission fromn the council to do this...I am awaiting their reply.
If the phone didn''t ring, it was probably me.

What they are good at is tipping all the rubbish & dead sheep into the top of the hill.

Then taking their drinking water from the adit at the bottom (because theres no connection! 😮 )
Seen that several times, If offered a glass of water don't take it !!!

The local farmer to Long Rake chucks his rubbish down the open stopes and his kids chuck any dead animals they manage to shoot down there. Last time i went there were about 15 dead crows in the bit where you have to go hands and knees!

Disused train tunnels :offtopic: :smartass: suffer from this as well quite a lot, ive seen a few cuttings with 20ft of rubbish in Liverpool, Mapperley Tunnel in Nottingham is a crazy infamous one for its rubbish thrown down a air shaft, never seen anything like this (not my pic) :
