Been on a long haul adventure to find these three places of interest today and hit the jackpot, didnt venture to far into the church north mine as had no gas detector. Looks more unstable in there too than the other mines around the area i have visited.
After that we searched for the crushing machinery and a grader or screener, which we stumbled across quite easily, finding the old tipper carts was a lot harder going. At one point we nearly turned back as it was deep in the undergrowth where we were looking, fit for a rabbit but not humans. eventually found a few tell tale signs so soldiered on and found loads of old carts, one still on the rails.
I hear there is an engine somewhere not too far but not sure on any location at this point apart from along the nene.
All in all a very good day out

Yeah i see it that. kind of made me a bit wary too, I dont like the thought of hearing the rumble of some heavy plant above us. plus there was only 2 of us i prefer at least 3 people, just seems safer with a few of you down there.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
