I wonder if its one of the Frodingham Nth Lincs BSC mines.... can't think of anything in the Midlands Ironstone fields.

Several of these pictures appeared in an old publicity leaflet by Dowty-Meco. They supplied the conveyors and transfer point equipment, hence the second photo. The pics were all black and white.

Now there was a company to work for. I worked for Dowty Meco in the 60s and 70s, and that's where I had my first underground experience - Littleton Colliery.
We supplied lots of surface and underground conveyors to ironstone mines and quarries in Northants and Lincs.
Where there's a mine or a hole in the ground.
That's where I'm heading for that's where I'm bound
