Morning.

Braving the Leeds & Sheffield traffic on Friday morning to trek over to the Peak District with a plan to have a poke about in here. Basic plan is to do the entrance shaft, the cartgate and the bitch pitch to the top of Leviathan. I know the score with the first shaft and know that the bitch pitch is bolted but haven't had time to pick up a rigging guide so have no idea what gear is needed. Does anybody know?

Thanks
Rich

Thanks for that Ditzy.

Yes as it happens, we will be passing on the way and shall call in for a copy. For some strange reason thought it was in Buxton.

For some reason the Perak Rigging guide underestimates the rope on both the entrance pitch and Bitch Pitch...
Its not just me thats commented o its not my lazy rigging!
I'd definately leave a bit extra on the entrance pitch and say 55M minimum for Bitch Pitch...

Thanks

I'd got the impression from somewhere or other that it was a 50m pitch so was a bit suprised to see that a 48m length was recommended particularly with two or three rebelays swallowing up rope.

Will take a couple 60s which should be enough touch wood.
