I have done a whole load of explores this year, with us getting a new group up and running in Central Scotland, so there's plenty of competition for the best shot but also lots of technical help being shared.
Glen Sannox Barytes mine on Arran was a solo explore that I needs a revisit as there's plenty more to see. Some parts that need swimming/a boat to access. A place that I love as its in among the wild mountains.

Glencryan in Cumbernauld is typical of the once many fireclay mines in Central Scotland. Like many, once it was shutdown (in 1958), most of the mine flooded. It needs technical knowledge & skill to access some of the areas such as this part, due to flooding and deep ochre mud.
The chain was for operating a bell for the pulley system for the hutches
"Scotland For Ever"....indeed

On a visit this summer by the Scottish crew to NWales, I went to Cambrian slate Mine in Glyn Ceriog on way to main event...The heavy rain meant that the water in the mine adit was rising fast so I had a very limited time to grab some shots, and try and capture the wet atmosphere
