Thanks for the Stenlight. πŸ˜‰ It arrived early last week. Today was the first chance to test it underground, 7h of good light both for work and exploring and plenty of power left at the end of the day.

View Supersize

I didn't use it for lighting photos but decided it should be in the photo. The Stenlight might be hard to spot but it's right on the helmet of the scale. Lighting was as usual with the standard lighting equipment below. It was certainly no perfect setup this time. 😞 I reckon Myotis had the better arrangement last year but without the Stenlight.

Coudn't super size the second picture, but are they Gorilla pods with Led flashlights mounted on them?

No Gorrillapods but similar ones with padded wire as legs.
Tried Gorrillapods first, but the balljoints on the legs wore out too quickly and the ballheads just snapped off. The ones on the photo are sold under various brands in Germany for half the price of a Gorillapod. They last a year before they need to be replaced. Some of them were modified with microphone clamps as not just some of the Sparks can be screwed on a tripod. The small tripods make life a lot easier when you want to position and point your lights underground.

Some beautiful photos in that set - what a neat and tidy place it is! And congratulations on the StenLight - it's transformed my underground activity without the slightest hitch - great piece of kit.

Keep up the good work.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
