Hey there fellow shaft aficionados, exploring the great dusty holes we call mines is a hobby of mine. Every time I go on vacation I try to find a new tunnel to poke around in, generally have better lucky in California, there's a lot more holes to get inside, but in general I have better luck out west. In the past I have been going in without much safety gear, but protection is all the hype these days. In addition, I have been exploring mines more and more frequently so I don't think I should push my luck much longer. I am concerned about a variety of things, from getting stuck, not fitting into creases as I am a pretty large boy if you get what I mean. Someone expressed their concern with the air quality as well, they said that some of the mines that got used pretty often and are now left abandoned may have certain diseases trapped in the depths of this crevice, especially ones that contain a lot of moisture. Would anybody be able to suggest some safety gear to help keep me safe in my exploration. If you have any opinions feel free to share, i'll be up watching videos of shafts and crevices for a while, feel free to post, I might still be up.
