Hello guys,

I am new to this website and from London :)

I have been to Wales a few times and have been exposed to the industry and environment surrounding the slate mines by Hammond.

We have met a few people from here before and have had a jolly old time down in Rosydd and Ratgoed to name a few!

Just hoping to make friends and share experiences!

He he Mr Turbo has already met our new our new member here, as was she was the lucky lady who joined us for that experience down Rhosydd and beyond.

Yes a thoroughly enjoyed myself, albeit feeling a little more unfit then previous outings he he. Hopefully not too long until we can go back into the peril of it all..............

While we're on the subject, Haven't heard much news on the North Wales Slate quarry side of things, is there literally no news of any description in that neck of the woods?

heh... yes, I be that same girl... the one who owes your mate a rather large pair of walking socks!

Was gutted I couldnt explore Conglog properly, feet were shrivelling and about to drop off from the cold water than filled my wellies.

My fault for being a short arse I expect

I'm sure there's a joke about thigh length boots somewhere, but it's too early in the day.

Having at times worked in waders, I certainly don't recommend it unless the water is polluted.
''the stopes soared beyond the range of our caplamps' - David Bick...... How times change .... oh, I don't know, I've still got a lamp like that.
